Conchita Applegate for State Assembly
Conchita Applegate wants to put her
experience in small business consulting and
civic involvement to work for the residents
of Assembly District 12.
Conchita Applegate has worked in a range of
professional capacities, while living in
Europe, Washington D.C., New York City, the
Philippines and her home in the San Francisco
Bay Area. She possesses a wealth of
experience in small business consulting, and
civic involvement in social and family
concerns, ranging from youth education to
elder care issues. Early on in her marriage,
she facilitated the assimilation and
acculturation of Indochinese refugees coming
to America.
Conchita's work as a consultant in corporate
executive and family relocation, both abroad
and in San Francisco, has given her in-depth
experience and knowledge in meeting the
challenges that families face in a new
environment, from home search to job search,
education, health care, and daily living.
While overseas, Conchita Applegate was
heavily committed to corporate and
faith-based initiative social programs in
support of education for disadvantaged
youth; supported outreach programs for Mother
Teresa; obtained a substantial international
grant for a major university; and actively
coordinated disaster response initiatives.
Even while working in that environment,
Conchita participated in overseas U.S. voter
registration projects.
A graduate of a Jesuit college with a B.S.
degree in Business Administration, Conchita
Applegate has a solid grounding in
professional discipline and civic
responsibilities. She is married, with five
grown children and active in family support
of an elder relative.
The 12th Assembly District includes the west
side of San Francisco plus the northern end
of San Mateo County. See the map.
